The Advocacy Center is designated by the Governor of Louisiana to serve as the state's protection and advocacy system for persons with disabilities.

A non-profit clearinghouse founded and operated by brain injury activists since 1985.

LRS assists persons with disabilities in there desire to obtain or maintain employment and/or achieve independence in their communities by providing rehabilitation services and working cooperatively with business and other community resources.

Medicaid Purchase Plan:  http://www.dhh.louisiana.gov/ 
Louisiana’s Medicaid Purchase Plan is AFFORDABLE health coverage that’s available ONLY to people with disabilities who WORK. 

Work Pays-Employment Supports Website: http://www.work-pays.org/ 
The Work-Pays web site is for people with disabilities, employers and the community at large. Work-Pays is a consortium of people who came together to increase the employment opportunities of persons with disabilities in Louisiana. An off-shoot of an Employment Summit, hosted by Advocacy Center in the spring of 2007.

TBISCI Trust Fund: http://www.dss.state.la.us/ 
The State of Louisiana collects funds from the fines paid for particular driving offenses and uses these funds to improve the quality of life of those with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Information about application is available on the site, but please know that there is a waiting list of recipients.
