Tonia Gedward will be presenting to survivors and caregivers on Saturday, March 30th at 10:30 am on Louisiana’s Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Program”
Tonia Gedward is originally from the New Iberia area.Tonia started her career with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) over eighteen years ago as an Office Coordinator with the Lafayette Parish Medicaid division. She quickly promoted to a Medicaid Analyst working with Supplemental Security Income clients, which became her passion. She remained in that position for 10 years until 2012.In 2017, she accepted a position in East Baton Rouge Parish working with Medicaid’s new innovative Managed Care Program, which provides better access and opportunities for medical services to Louisiana residents. In 2017, Tonia accepted a position with the Office of Aging and Adult Services division as a Program Manager assigned to operate and improve the existing Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Tonia holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is raising two wonderful children.Her daughter is a freshman in high school and exceeds her expectations both academically and in sports.Her son is a sophomore in college paving the way for his future endeavors. Tonia enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and outdoor activities.
