“Yoga and Meditation for Brain Injury: Evidence, Innovation, and Ways Forward”
Ramsay Pierce, E-RYT, RPYT, YACEP is an experienced yoga teacher and trainer who specializes in yoga, yoga nidra, and meditation for people with traumatic brain injury and their caregivers. She has expertise in co-leading trainings and outreach initiatives for clinicians, yoga teachers, and advocacy groups to learn about the evidence-based benefits of yoga for brain injury and in how to safely adapt this practice for the TBI community. As the Senior Manager for the LoveYourBrain Yoga Program, she stewards yoga studios, clinical facilities, yoga teachers, and clinicians across the US and Canada in learning, implementing, and expanding the LoveYourBrain Yoga program to the TBI community. She has presented on behalf of LoveYourBrain at national conferences (Craig Hospital Brain Injury Summit, Brain Injury Association of North Carolina TBI Conference) and in rehabilitation facilities (QLI, JFK Johnson, Kessler, Magee, Virginia Hospital) describing the evidence of using yoga and meditation practices to support TBI rehabilitation. She teaches in the LoveYourBrain Yoga program in Denver, Colorado where she lives, and in LoveYourBrain holistic health retreats across the country.
