Any veteran survivor or caregiver of a veteran survivor of a brain injury is welcome to attend. It is presented by the Polytrauma team.
The goal is to facilitate and build relationships through shared experiences, learn strategies for coping with a new normal, and get education on different topics for overall wellness.

Caregivers Coffee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Shreveport Rehab Hospital.
Separate groups are held for individuals living with quadriplegia, those living with paraplegia, and family members/caregivers so that meetings can focus on the unique needs and challenges of each. Group meetings are led by two facilitators: a mental health professional and a peer with lived experience. Meetings are conducted in an open forum/conversational format and members are encouraged to raise topics and ask questions related to living with paralysis or caregiving that are of interest or concern to them.
