Working with medical professionals, therapists, and families, each Freedom Concepts model is thoughtfully designed to accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Angelman Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, and visual impairment. Any bike can be further customized and adjusted to the exact specifications and unique requirements of the rider, ensuring that each Freedom Concepts bike is a perfect fit.

ImproveAbility is an assistive technology sales and consulting firm.  We supply many different types of equipment, almost anything that a person with a disability would benefit from.  AAC and environmental controls are two of our specialties.  We have staff in Texas and the Gulf Coast, but are also available for consulting outside of the Gulf Coast region.  We are happy to field requests for assistive technology to see how we can be of assistance.

Our guide helps deaf and hard of hearing students learn about online accommodations colleges offer to comply with the American Disabilities Act, popular listening devices and applications, and scholarships. We also provide a list of the 5 best colleges for students with hearing disabilities as well as additional helpful resources.  

Kalogon’s founding team , made up of former SpaceX engineers, came together with local wheelchair users to develop their first product, Orbiter and continues to innovate. It took three years to develop Orbiter, and during this time the Kalogon team partnered with local wheelchair users, spinal cord injury clinics, and nursing homes to understand the needs around seating.
