Innovative Suit Therapy and Fitness is a comprehensive therapy center that offers physical, occupational and speech therapy to children of all ages and adults with neurologic impairments. We are the only therapy center in the Louisiana to offer pediatric and adult therapy services with the use of the TheraSuit and the Universal Exercise Unit. We offer traditional therapy 1 to 3 times a week in addition to 3 to 4 week intense therapy sessions. We are also a provider for Early Steps that provides services for age birth to three years old. Patients of any age and most neurological disorders can benefit from the therapy and treatment offered at Innovative Suit Therapy and Fitness including cerebral palsy, hyper/hypotonicity, dystonia, ataxia, autism, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, stroke and a variety of other diagnoses. Fine and gross motor skills improve in 94% of patients. Also, speech productivity and fluency improves in 64% patients. The increase in these skills ultimately leads to increased balance, coordination and independence in daily functional skills such as sitting, standing and walking.
Every person who becomes a member of Split Second Fitness will be assessed by experienced staff in order to evaluate the client’s strengths, weaknesses, and needs. Following the assessment, an individualized regimen will be created for each client. With a strategy in hand and regularly scheduled workouts, the trainer and client will work to improve the following areas: ambulatory locomotor movement, balance, posture, motor function, neuromuscular development, range of motion, and more.
