Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. provides leadership, planning, assessing and monitoring services to the elderly in the eight parish planning and service area. These parishes include Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion.

Calcasieu Public Transit has nine buses, which are all equipped with liftgates for easy wheelchair accessibility.
Transit services are available in Rural and Urban areas of Calcasieu Parish.
Services are offered to those who are elderly, disabled, and the general public.
There is a service fee for each ride. Transit office hours are 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Buses run 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
