TOURO INFIRMARY

Founded in 1852, Touro Infirmary is New Orleans' only community-based, non-profit, faith-based hospital. In 1929, Touro Infirmary was one of the first hospitals in the United States to establish a physical therapy department, which was a significant innovation in the city. This department paved the way for the nationally recognized Rehabilitation Center at Touro, offering specialized programs for patients with catastrophic injuries and neurological disorders.
