The Trauma Recovery Center is the first of its kind in Louisiana. Rooted in principles of health equity and social justice, the center provides wraparound services to people whose lives have been disrupted by traumatic injury and violent crime.
LOCATION: Trauma Recovery Center at University Medical Center New Orleans, Clinic Building, Floor 3, Zone C, Enter at 2101 Tulane Avenue.
MISSION: To aid in the healing, recovery, and preventive treatment of Veterans by treating the WHOLE VETERAN and providing the most comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
Your journey begins with a 3 day evaluation with a team of caregivers which includes licensed staff who are assigned to you for the duration of your time. You will receive a treatment plan that can be given to your own doctor or you may be eligible to enroll in the Center's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
If you are eligible for the THREE-WEEK INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
PROGRAM (IOP), our care team puts your treatment plan into action.
Through education, clinical care and access to specialized resources, this
program demonstrates the powerful ways physical, emotional, mental,
spiritual and social factors can directly affect your health and wellbeing.
